Islanders softball is more than a team, it’s a family.  It’s bigger than us all.  It’s being a teammate on and off the field no matter the circumstances.  Islander softball is getting better when no one is looking.  Islander softball is having the utmost trust in each other on and off the field and respecting the game we all love.  I promise to represent myself, my team, my coaches, and my university to the best of my ability and make those who have come before me proud to say they are an Islander.   I will strive to be a part of the hardest working team on campus, sacrificing my time and my body to be the best athlete I can be.  I know that everything I do on and off the field is forever leaving my legacy as a TAMUCC Islanders Softball player.  When I walk off the field for the last time, I will have no regrets.  I will leave my heart on the field, knowing that I could have done nothing more.
